ARTIST SPOTLIGHT - OZUMARYU

We sat down with one of our artists, OzumaRyu, and asked them a few questions!

Q: Although we're based in the USA, we've been lucky enough to work with artists from all over the world. Where are you from, OzumaRyu? A: I’m from Sonora, Mexico. Q: You've done a few different pieces for us so far. What is your favorite [SYNSOULS] piece you've illustrated so far? A: Oh there’s plenty, but I really loved the Production Art I did for Apostasy of the Zero Remainder, it was really complex and I loved the composition! (Author's Note: You'll be able to see this art during our Kickstarter!) Q: What card games have you played in the past? Do you have a favorite? A: I played Yu-Gi-Oh for years and loved it! My favorite card of all time is Change of Heart, but my main deck was Fortune Lady.

Q: Art always inspires more art, regardless of the format. Do you have a favorite artist? A: Yes, my favorite artist is Yuumei, I’ve admired her work for the longest time.

Q: Do you listen to music while drawing? Any favorites? A: I do! My current favorites for drawing are synthwave bands like The Midgnight.
